Zoral Labs, a leading provider of research and development to the software industry, is searching for an experienced Senior Backend Developer with strong experience in Python and Go to join its development center remotely

Job Description:

As a Backend Developer, you will be involved in the development and maintenance of a scalable, mission-critical, data-driven AWS cloud-based online service.

You will collaborate with senior-level development team members to make technical architecture and design decisions. In addition, you will take ownership of key components of the online service.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in discussions to understand both business and technical requirements for the solution.
• Analyze and determine the solution architecture and design for the components you own.
• Implement design decisions and fulfill functional and non-functional requirements.
• Assist the project Data Science team in designing and implementing their components.
• Collaborate with the project QA team in testing and resolving issues.
• Support solution deployment activities.
• Ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability of solutions, especially for high-load workflows.
• Perform code and design reviews, guiding the engineering team.
• Troubleshoot and optimize workflows, focusing on performance and security.

Requirements:

Must-Have:

• 5+ years of overall software engineering experience.
• Deep knowledge in Python, including:
• Flask
• FastAPI
• Boto3
• Hands-on expertise in Golang, with the ability to build and maintain robust backend systems
• PostgreSQL, SQL/DML/DDL
• AWS: Lambda, S3, RDS, EKS, SQS, CloudWatch, IAM & secrets management
• REST API design principles
• Git/GitLab, GitLab CI/CD
• Linux
• Docker
• Software architecture and design principles

Would be a Plus:

• Experience with additional AWS services: Textract, EFS, ECR
• Familiarity with Python libraries for PDF file management
• Knowledge of Terraform
• Background in Computer Science or Mathematics education
• Understanding of Kubernetes
