Zoral, a leading provider of research and development to the software industry, is searching for an experienced Algorithms & Functional Programming Developer / Lead to join its development center in Kyiv.

The Algorithms & Functional Programming Developer / Lead will work closely with:
• SaaS services and solutions development teams on Zoral side, including Product Managers / Business Analysts;
• Data Science, Machine Learning and automated documents parsing teams which are part of the SaaS services and solutions development teams;
• Subject matter experts in the corresponding financial areas on Zoral side and on the customer side.

Required experience and knowledge:
• Solid algorithms development knowledge and experience;
• Solid functional & logical programming knowledge and experience;
• Python;
• SQL;
• Practical experience in software development and delivery;
• Would be a plus:
o Experience with context-free grammars parsing;
o Team leadership and management skills;
o Prolog;
o Knowledge and experience with Data Science and Machine Learning.

• Review and analyze detailed requirements for:
o Automated parsing of documents (PDF, image) with fixed or free-form structures & layouts, provided by Product Managers and Business Analysts, subject matter experts;
o Automated documents categorization, indexing and enrichment;
• Propose and discuss approaches and ideas about how the requirements can be designed and implemented;
• Develop and maintain automated parsers;
• Lead and supervise a small team (up to 5 people) of documents parsing engineers developing such automated parsers.

We are looking for a Algorithms & Functional Programming Developer / Lead to be part of Zoral software development team delivering fintech (financial technology) SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions to financial institutions, including mortgage, consumer lending, SME (small and medium-sized enterprises) lending, insurance businesses across the world. One of such SaaS services is an online platform for automated categorization, indexing, data extraction and enrichment of documents (PDF, image) used in various financial businesses.
