Project Description
Busbud — it’s an international product, that describes its primary goal as the ability to make bus travel easy. Busbud helps its users search quickly using cross-platform apps, in their local language and currency. They help to compare different options using the world’s most extensive inventory of buses: 3,900+ bus companies connecting 21,000+ cities across 80+ countries with 2,300,000+ bus routes. It’s a booking service for easy bus travelling.
Zoolatech and Busbud working on rewriting their web app from PHP to React. We are providing the opportunity to work with this client on an existing product while creating a new integral part of it almost from scratch. With Busbud we are allowing our developers to be involved in building new architecture, reintegrating features, and modernising products for growth using NodeJS and React (instead of PHP). Busbud is a start-up with flexible processes and a “speak up” culture and an agile mindset.
Responsibilities
- Understand business needs
- Design and document technical solutions
- Write clean and maintainable code, perform code-reviews
- Establish optimal processes and state-of-the-art engineering practices
- Help team to self-organize
- Take ownership of the system quality
Skills Required
- Fluent/advanced English to communicate daily with customers
- 6+ years with React/FE
- Super strong JS is a must (there’s a lot of complex business logic)
- Good HTML, CSS
- Experience with test tools (Jest, Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, etc.)
- Experience with Docker
Would be a plus:
- Typescript, GCP, Kubernetes
- Basic understanding of PHP (we’re migrating from it) or opportunity/desire to take a look on previous codebase
