5y+ of Software Engineering hands-on experience
Good knowledge of Golang
Good knowledge of cloud architecture best practices (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud, etc.)
Hands-on experience with Terraform, AWS and PostgreSQL is a big plus
Good understanding of cryptography

Write critical parts of backend related to performance and security (Golang service and Terraform Infrastructure) like device synchronization, encryption, big data ingestion
Participate in the development of product functionality like card masking, email masking, payments integration, etc.
Contribute to building a holistic view of product architecture (in form of visual diagrams) that includes AWS infrastructure, backend components, communication flows
Discuss drafts of architecture with all teams to ensure it is feasible and deadlines are met
Be ready to communicate with project stakeholders (product, marketing, development, as well as top management) to understand their requirements and translate them into architecturally significant requirements
Oversee infrastructure implementation done by DevOps team to meet ASR (SLO, Compliance, Performance, Scalability), ensure best practices (like AWS Well Architected Framework) are followed
Consult teammates and engineers from other teams on using best practices when developing on AWS to have cost-effective, reliable, secure and performant solution

ROLE
We are looking to hire Senior Golang Engineer who will join the Backend team responsible for architecture of all FigLeaf products, their interaction and security: backend API (for Windows/Mac/iOS/Andoid clients), Payments providers, browser extensions. Currently, we are working on a number of big things: setting up possibility to roll out on certain percentile of users (testing on production); elaborating API for card masking and email masking; driving payments providers integration, monetization (stores), building proxy service, contributing to fraud detection, building our custom BI Analytics system and many other exciting things.

We expect this role to face all these challenges together with us and be ready to grow to tech leadership role, co-manage and share responsibility for the existing architecture of multi-platform all-in-one privacy application, apply existing processes to implementation of any new features and products, investigate new best practices in the market and consider which of them may add value to the product. Our main goal is to keep our architecture compliant with security best practices, make it sustainable and scalable enough to be ready for on-boarding of millions of users in the next 6-12 months.
