We are looking for a System/Business Analyst for Presales and Complex IoT projects to strengthen our presales and discovery capabilities. In this role, you will work closely with Sales and Solution Architects to translate early client needs into structured scopes, clear documentation, and persuasive client-facing narratives. Our projects vary, with a primary focus on IoT initiatives across Healthcare, Manufacturing, and Industrial domains.
First engagement. The role starts embedded in a live program: we are the electronics and firmware development partner for a critical care medical device targeting an FDA 510(k) submission. You join its 6-week Discovery phase, where the mandate is to turn the client’s bid package into a frozen architecture baseline plus a phased scope with target cost and schedule for every development gate. After Discovery, you move into the presales/solution group, with delivery credibility from a genuinely hard-regulated program behind you.
Responsibilities:
- Lead presales discovery activities: stakeholder interviews, workshops, requirements clarification, and alignment on goals and constraints.
- Perform hands-on product/service decomposition: turn a concept into a clear scope, key features, and requirement groups.
- Produce a strong set of presales BA artifacts, including: problem statement, objectives, success criteria, scope / out of scope, high-level functional requirements, assumptions, constraints, dependencies, risks, business-related artifacts, user/process workflows, functional decompositions, and clear, lightweight visuals to support alignment and communication.
- Support estimation and proposal preparation by ensuring the team has sufficient clarity and consistency across inputs.
- Contribute to client pitching and Q&A: present findings, explain assumptions, and communicate scope confidently to stakeholders.
- Post-sale Discovery — define the scope of the program, produce required BA artifacts, and support project team staffing.
On the current program, additionally:
- Decompose a dense client bid package — system ICD, per-board design inputs, software architecture, full SRS — into an estimable baseline: several hundred “shall” requirements with acceptance criteria, verification methods and safety classes attached.
- Identify gaps, contradictions and unstated assumptions across those documents, and convert them into a clarification list the client can answer inside a 1.5-hour workshop. Requirements left ambiguous return as change orders two gates later.
- Hold the vendor / client ownership boundary explicitly: the client keeps clinical algorithms behind a versioned API and owns validation, certification and the 510(k). Every requirement lands on one side of that line in writing.
- Co-own the WBS, phased scope, target cost and schedule per gate, the effort-driver narrative behind the number, and the risk / assumption / dependency register — and stand behind them in an estimate walkthrough with the client’s engineers and technical leadership.
- Maintain the requirements baseline and change control across the development gates, including the traceability structure that feeds the client’s Design History File.
- Recognise a change request when it arrives disguised as a clarification.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a System/Business Analyst with a strong focus on discovery and client-facing work. Experience with presales would be a plus.
- Strong hands-on decomposition skills and the ability to quickly structure complex or vague requests.
- Ability to produce high-quality, client-ready documentation under tight timelines.
- Able to manage a high workload and multiple parallel presales streams within tight deadlines.
- Solid communication and facilitation skills (workshops, interviews, alignment sessions).
- Confident presentation skills and experience participating in client pitches.
- Upper-Intermediate or above English.
- 2+ years on physical-product IoT programs — IoT, embedded, industrial or medical devices: any environment where hardware, firmware and an application layer have to agree on an interface, and a hardware constraint can push a requirement back.
- Comfort with technical requirements at interface level: protocols, timing and latency budgets, telemetry and data contracts, device state machines, failure and degraded-mode behaviour.
- Ability to work natively in the “shall” requirement register — requirement, acceptance criterion, verification method, priority, traceability — not only in user-story form.
Nice-to-have:
- Domain experience in Healthcare, Manufacturing, Industrial or Automotive.
- Experience working in cross-functional presales teams (Sales + Architecture + Delivery stakeholders).
- Exposure to regulated development: medical devices (IEC 62304, ISO 14971, FDA design controls), automotive, avionics or industrial safety — any environment where requirements carry evidence obligations. You will not own compliance; a dedicated Compliance Specialist does.
- Hardware-adjacent literacy: reading a block diagram, power budget or interface map without needing it translated.
- Familiarity with contracting models (T&M, fixed price, capped) and how the choice changes what we fix in scope and assumptions.
Our Benefits:
- Professional growth: Individual development plan, mentorship, reimbursement for professional certifications and English lessons, access to professional courses in Corporate Learning Management System.
- Community: Tech community and knowledge-sharing events, English speaking club, corporate library and book club, volunteering and charity initiatives.
- Wellbeing: Medical insurance, regular medical check-ups, sport reimbursement, paid vacation and sick leave, mental health support and events.
- Work environment: Fully-equipped offices, top-notch equipment, flexible work format, activities both in-office and online, Y-bucks and access to the Yalantis store.
