Yalantis is looking for a German-speaking Supply & Project Coordinator to support the development and preparation for manufacturing of a hardware product.
The main focus of this role is to coordinate and structure workstreams related to mechanical engineering, supplier sourcing, BOM preparation, technical documentation, and EMS handover readiness.
You will act as an operational and documentation-focused link between the Engineering and Project Management teams, component suppliers, alternative vendors, and the selected EMS/assembly partner. Your goal will be to ensure that technical documentation, BOM data, drawings, PCB files, supplier quotations, revision statuses, and open points are complete, structured, traceable, and ready for the next industrialization stages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track tasks, deadlines, dependencies, and open points related to the mechanical engineering workstream.
- Maintain action lists, decision logs, open-point trackers, and weekly status summaries.
- Follow up on decisions and commitments made during project meetings.
- Coordinate the preparation of the EMS handover data package, including BOMs, drawings, Gerber and PCB files, and assembly instructions.
- Review and maintain eBOM and mBOM data, ensuring that part numbers, MPNs, alternatives, lead times, revisions, and critical components are documented consistently.
- Identify missing or inconsistent information across BOMs, drawings, and technical files and coordinate its completion.
- Contact component suppliers and potential alternative suppliers.
- Request and collect quotations, datasheets, lead times, MOQ information, NCNR conditions, and component availability details.
- Coordinate technical clarifications and follow-ups with suppliers.
- Prepare supplier and quotation comparison matrices covering pricing, lead times, availability, technical fit, and potential risks.
- Ensure that technical files, supplier information, and document revisions remain structured, up to date, and traceable.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in technical project coordination, supply coordination, procurement, or a similar role within hardware or physical product development.
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical product development, including assemblies, BOMs, technical drawings, and datasheets.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to track multiple tasks, dependencies, deadlines, constraints, and stakeholders.
- Experience communicating directly with component suppliers, including quotation requests, technical clarifications, and follow-ups.
- Strong Excel skills, including creating trackers, comparison matrices, and decision tables.
- High attention to detail, particularly when working with part numbers, document revisions, and file versions.
- Ability to structure large amounts of technical and supplier-related information.
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
- German proficiency at B2 level or higher.
