We are looking for a QA Engineer to join a US-based technology company developing innovative workplace safety solutions. The product combines software and IoT technologies to help organizations respond quickly to emergency situations through real-time alerting and location-tracking systems. In this role, you will ensure the quality and reliability of a mission-critical platform used across healthcare, hospitality, and other industries.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Review and analyze product requirements to ensure completeness, consistency, and alignment with business objectives.
- Perform manual testing of web applications, integrations, and system functionality.
- Design and execute functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
- Create and maintain detailed test scenarios and test documentation in TestRail.
- Validate UI behavior, workflows, and business logic across the platform.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with developers, Product Managers, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in release validation and quality assurance process improvements.
- Support testing activities for IoT-related features and hardware-software interactions when required.
- Provide clear and timely communication regarding testing progress, risks, and quality metrics.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of commercial experience as a QA Engineer.
- Strong hands-on experience in Manual QA testing.
- Experience testing IoT products or connected devices — must have.
- Proven experience creating test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Experience reviewing and analyzing business and technical requirements.
- Strong experience with integration testing and end-to-end testing.
- Experience testing web applications and complex business workflows.
- Hands-on experience with TestRail or similar test management tools.
- Strong defect management and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Upper-Intermediate English level or higher, with the ability to communicate directly with international stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the quality assurance process.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with hardware-software integration testing.
- Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger.
- Experience working in safety-critical or highly regulated environments.
- Familiarity with automation testing concepts and tools.
- Experience working with distributed international teams.
