We’re looking for a Mobile QA Engineer (IoT) to ensure the quality, stability, and performance of a mobile application that controls a hydraulic leveling system for camper vehicles. This is more than just mobile testing — it’s a role at the intersection of mobile, IoT, and embedded systems, where understanding how software interacts with real hardware is key.
The app communicates with the device via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), so you’ll work with connection flows, signal stability, and various edge-case scenarios.
Responsibilities:
- Perform end-to-end testing of the mobile application (built with Flutter).
- Validate Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication between mobile app and embedded device.
- Verify correctness and stability of API endpoints.
- Validate IoT device behavior.
- Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases and test strategies for both mobile and firmware.
- Perform debugging and troubleshooting across mobile and embedded layers.
- Document test procedures, results, defects, and quality metrics.
- Collaborate closely with firmware, hardware, and software teams to resolve issues and improve quality.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in software testing (mobile and/or embedded).
- Hands-on experience with IoT device testing.
- Understanding of embedded systems and firmware testing methodologies.
- Experience testing BLE communication (Bluetooth Low Energy).
- Experience working with logs and debugging tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.
