We are looking for a PHP Developer to join our cutting-edge development team as it grows. The ideal candidate is a team player possessing strong analytical as well as technical skills, is able to understand the business logic behind the technology, and must be comfortable working in an agile environment where things move at a fast pace.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of professional experience with PHP, strong expertise in Symfony or Laravel.
- Experience working with modular monolith architectures and involvement in migration to microservices.
- Solid understanding of system design principles and best practices.
- Proven experience handling high-load projects.
- Strong skills with PostgreSQL (schema design, complex queries, optimization).
- Hands-on experience with queues (e.g., Redis, RabbitMQ) and Socket.IO.
- Experience with Vue.js (v2) on the frontend.
- Familiarity with Docker and basic Kubernetes commands.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Readiness to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
- English level: Intermediate or higher.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend features using Symfony or Laravel within a modular monolith architecture.
- Contribute to architecture discussions and propose system design improvements.
- Drive and support the migration to microservices.
- Work with Vue.js (v2) on the frontend to build dynamic and interactive user interfaces.
- Implement real-time and asynchronous functionality using queues and Socket.IO.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.
- Deploy, monitor, and debug applications in DigitalOcean and Kubernetes environments.
- Collaborate with the team on database design and optimization in PostgreSQL.
- Participate actively in team communication, providing input on challenges, blockers, and potential improvements.
