We are looking for a Senior Data/BI Engineer to join our team. The client is a British manufacturer in the field of fleet management and telematics. They create innovative solutions that use real-time data to optimize the performance, safety, and efficiency of large fleets.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS Glue and Python.
• Work with AWS services: S3, EventBridge, Athena, Iceberg, API Gateway.
• Design and implement data models to support analytical and operational use cases.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for structured and semi-structured data.
• Integrate data from various sources, including MongoDB and RDS.
• Ensure data reliability, scalability, and performance across systems.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data needs.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of commercial experience as a Data/BI Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (Glue, S3, EventBridge, Athena, Iceberg, API Gateway).
• Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with MongoDB and RDS.
• Solid understanding of data lake, data warehouse, and real-time data processing.
• Ability to work independently in a distributed team environment.
• English level: Intermediate strong or higher.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., QuickSight, Power BI, Tableau).
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture and streaming data.
• Knowledge of data governance, monitoring, and best practices.
