Middle Ruby Developer

And now we are looking for an experienced Ruby developer to join a real estate product used by millions of people. The project itself is big and combines a lot of features empowering users to streamline real estate transactions. It’s a leading real estate marketplace in the US with 16+ years of industry experience. You will join an existing team of 25 members of backend engineers, frontend engineers, QA.

The current project team appreciates:
— working directly with the client, the ability to influence technological decisions (regular hack-weeks with the client’s internal team)

— calm pace of development (the main priorities are quality and technology, not speed)

— interested management from the client’s part (openness to suggestions, effective communication, and instant feedback)

— 3+ years of successful cooperation.

What you will help us do:

• deliver high-quality code
• effectively collaborate with the team to provide the best solutions
• integrate new features, improve application service decoupling
• implement business ideas into fully-working features
• understand the client’s business needs and influence the product

Here’s the experience that will help you do the job:

• consistent knowledge of RESTful API design solid understanding of OOP and common software design patterns
• experience with building and optimizing complex SQL queries (MySQL) gitflow, CI/CD code review
• 3+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails (under confirmation with client)
• English — intermediate

These skills will also come in handy:

• Good to have experience with Javascript, React (react-rails, react_on_rails)
• Redis, DynamoDB GraphQL
