Wix.com’s System IT team. We’re responsible for defining the system architecture and requirements of the company. We monitor, manage and maintain the global Wix infrastructure. We’re looking for a solution-oriented System Engineer to join our team.
A System Engineer with at least 6 years of experience working on a large enterprise IT in a Linux (Unix)/Windows environment, implementing complex solutions on cloud services. You have at least 4 years of experience programming software development using Git or Jenkins. You’ve worked in Public or Hybrid cloud environments for at least 2 years, assisting security and networking enterprise-level products. You have at least 4 years of experience with AWS, GCE services, and infrastructure architecture. You have at least 4 years of experience with automated deployments (Chef, SaltStack, Ansible) and software development (Ruby, Python, Perl, Powershell). You’re a master of virtualization technologies with a strong understanding of shell scripting, programming languages and DevOps process
— Design, engineer, develop, deploy and support infrastructure.
— Be responsible for the development testing and deployment of automated solutions to help meet the company’s goals, using best practices during the solution’s lifecycle under the direction of Systems IT.
— Define and technically lead the design of new products and features in existing products along with analyzing architecture alternatives.
— Lead automation, scripting development, and internal tools development.
— Work closely with Operations, R&D and other teams to monitor, manage and maintain our global Wix infrastructure.
— Identify technology gaps, develop & implement appropriate solutions as part of a team.
— Create and maintain clear, accurate documentation.
— Enforce all Hybrid/Cloud standards, processes, and procedures.
— Provide coaching and mentoring to team members.
— Stay familiar with relevant current and future technologies and trends.
— Be available to work nights and weekends, while providing on-call support 24/7.
