Job Description (What you’ll do)

As a Junior Server Engineer, you’ll join our 200+ talented developers in our BED community to:

• Work on scalable solutions using event-driven architecture and domain-driven design
• Take charge of the entire lifecycle of feature development, from initial discussions with product teams, defining requirements, and providing estimates, through to actual coding in collaboration with the team, monitoring performance, and delivering robust solutions to end-users
• Work on a distributed CQRS & Event Sourcing product vertical, built with test-driven development on Scala
• Contribute to the platform infrastructure, architecture, and design solutions

Requirements

• 1+ year experience working in software development
• You’re comfortable with essential tools and operations (git pull/push/branch/rebase, Maven/Gradle build/test)
• You know the software development basics (simple SQL queries, modern architecture design, unit testing, software debugging)
• You understand applied computer science fundamentals (lists, sets, sorts, and complexities)
• You’re open-minded, very interested in software development, and you’re a quick learner

Additional Information

Wix Online Programs was developed as part of the “strategic products” effort at Wix. Online Programs is a relatively young mobile and desktop app (3 years in production) for creating and selling structured content such as online courses, training programs, and even fitness challenges. Essentially, we’re allowing users to add LMS (Learning Management System) to their site.
