Job Description (What you’ll do)

As a Frontend Team Lead you’ll be joining our frontend community of over 1000 talented frontend developers. At Wix, a Frontend Team Lead is responsible for the technical side of projects and people management. As a team leader your goal will be to ensure product features are feasible, can be completed in a fair timeline and deliver it to production. Working closely with product managers, designers, developers, QAs and other team leads is part of your day-to-day responsibilities. You will also:

• Manage a team of 4-5 frontend developers
• Participate in the discovery phase of features and help bring those ideas to reality
• Lead or manage the technical research for new products
• Be responsible for team growth and development (people management and team management)
• Mentor and advise the team in code review, pair programming etc.
• Share knowledge and collaborate with other teams
• Discover technical debt and help to clear it

Requirements

• At least 3 years experience leading a team
• Proficient in modern frontend technologies (Typescript, React, Webpack, Redux, RxJS, etc.)
• Strategic thinking and a good understanding of the product lifecycle, from research and prototyping, to technical design, development and post production support
• Exceptional problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills with a passion for learning new things
• Capable of collaborating and brainstorming with individuals of varying skill levels
• Proficient in leading and mentoring team members in complex projects

We’re developing a cutting edge responsive workspace for building widgets based on the existing Wix Editor. As part of building their apps, our users can design their widgets in the Blocks workspace using native editor components, adding their own code with Velo.

This simplifies the app development process significantly, because designers can create apps without using code at all.

Wix Blocks is the future of Wix, our current goal is to enable users to build their apps with Blocks and improve their dev-velocity.

We’re using TS, ES6, React, Repluggable, Node.js for our small server, E2Es on Sled (it’s our framework to write e2e tests) and more.
