You are:

A senior developer with 5+ years of experience including 1 year leading a team. You’ve written production-grade code and are allergic to unmaintainable code. You’re familiar with software engineering best practices including testing, code reviews, pair-programming, immutability, etc. You’re aware of bad practices and anti-patterns and how to avoid them. You’re able(or willing) to write and design microservices written in Scala. You have experience building high-performance, distributed applications. You know how to maintain production including monitoring, metrics and alerts.

You can create a vision for your team and lead the people throughout its execution. You’re passionate, intelligent and opinionated but also humble and respectful of other people’s opinions. You’re willing and able to successfully mentor other engineers.

As a Team Lead for Payments, you will:

• Design and lead the development of the funds management components including (but not limited to) reserve policies, charging of fees, and top-ups in our payment platform
• Work on the design and implementation of new features while maintaining the existing product
• Create and manage the growth vision for the team
• Mentor and advise your team in code review, pair programming and more
• Influence our engineering culture by interacting with different stakeholders across Wix
• Make an impact on the product development in all stages
• Design and maintain public API
