Given that I’ve been working at the Windsor.ai team for ± 8 months already I think I’ve got something to add to the discussion happening here.

Firstly, this is a really fast-growing company, with the flexibility of a startup, still. In my particular case, I’ve been able to set up the working schedule to take the days off on Wednesdays and it was completely fine with the rest of the team.

Secondly, there are great people working here that are hard to find elsewhere. The requirements for the code quality became pretty strict recently, so the (part-time?) developers who couldn’t comply simply left, and now the company is looking for more strong developers to fulfill the needs of the growing amount of customers.

And last but not least, (basically a reply to the comment below (yeah, I do speak Russian)), there is no such thing as the main repository, the repositories there work more as independent services (e.g. onboard.windsor.ai for setting data sources up, connectors.windsor.ai for querying the data, and so on.).
Still, even if there would be, there are developers who do not make it through the “trial period”, when we see how a developer works with the given set of tools and, especially, whether he/she is able to work efficiently with the team or not. If the person cannot do any of that, we might say goodbye. And yes, that might affect some statistics from `git log` :)

It’s true to admit that there aren’t always sunshine and rainbows. We have challenges, as all the people do. But still, we tend to look for co-workers who are able to work on hard tasks. But what’s important for me, is, if someone has an issue, the team is there to help to figure that out.
