We are looking for a Platform Engineer!
Requirements:
— In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, networking, and security, along with experience managing Kubernetes clusters in a bare-metal environment.
— Proficiency with AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for hybrid cloud integrations, and experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Crossplane.
— Strong skills in container technology and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes for managing and scaling containerized environments.
— Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet) to automate infrastructure deployment.
— Solid understanding of networking concepts like VLANs, load balancing, and service discovery in a bare-metal environment, as well as overlay networks (e.g., Calico, Flannel).
Would be a plus:
— Experience in designing and implementing disaster recovery plans and backup solutions specifically for Kubernetes clusters and bare-metal infrastructures.
— Insight into advanced networking topics, including BGP, VPNs, and DNS configurations, particularly in cloud-native and hybrid environments.
— Experience with load balancing and reverse proxy configurations using tools like NGINX or HAProxy to optimize traffic management.
Responsibilities:
— Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure platforms using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
— Manage containerized environments with Docker and Kubernetes to support microservices, optimize resource allocation, and streamline deployment.
— Develop scripts and CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment, scaling, and configuration management using tools like Ansible and Jenkins.
— Implement monitoring and logging, respond to incidents, and perform root cause analysis to maintain platform stability.
— Apply security best practices, manage access controls, and ensure compliance with regulations like GDPR and SOC 2.
— Work with development and DevOps teams, providing platform guidance and supporting deployment and troubleshooting.
— Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-sharing resources.
— Stay updated on technology trends, suggest platform improvements, and engage in post-mortem reviews to enhance processes.
