About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join an international product team on an outstaff engagement. The primary mission of this role is to increase the team’s engineering productivity by effectively adopting AI-powered development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and similar solutions.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands both modern JavaScript ecosystems (Node.js / React) and the practical application of AI in day-to-day software development workflows. You will not only guide the team technically but also coach, train, and embed AI-assisted development practices into their daily routines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support an international engineering team working with Node.js and React.
• Train developers to effectively use AI tools (e.g. Cursor, Claude Code, AI copilots) to improve speed, code quality, and delivery consistency.
• Establish best practices for AI-assisted coding, code reviews, debugging, and refactoring.
• Identify productivity bottlenecks and propose AI-driven process improvements.
• Collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders to align technical execution with business goals.
• Ensure high standards of code quality, maintainability, and team communication.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or Tech Lead managing JavaScript teams.
• Strong hands-on background with Node.js and React (ability to guide and review code).
• Practical experience using AI developer tools in real projects (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar).
• Ability to coach and mentor engineers, helping them adopt new tools and workflows.
• Experience working with distributed / international teams.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, improvement-oriented mindset.
