WePlay! Esports is a esportainment company, a part of TECHIIA holding, that combines esports, storytelling and entertainment content. We want to surprise and entertain every esports fan and attract new ones. We have been organizing esports online tournaments and LAN finals for professional teams of tier-1, tier-2 levels since 2012. We broadcast for millions of viewers from our studio to Twitch channel and other streaming platforms. Also, we have developed our own WePlay! Esports online media and tournament platform.
About the position:
We are constantly scaling and growing, currently we are 300+ and to keep up with the temps we are seeking for an experienced Head of Technology who will oversee the technical means in the whole company, using the latest cutting edge technologies will build and implement Policies and will make sure that architecture among all teams is consistent. In addition, the Head of Technology will operate as a subject matter expert and thought leader, who will be guiding and consulting other heads of departments when needed.
You will be responsible for a number of keys things, here are the main ones:
— be on the edge of technical means, integrate and implement technical innovations to WePlay;
— develop Security, Stability and SLA in the company;
— build a full-fledged R&D team that will develop new ideas, based on “Proof of Concepts”;
— oversee cost optimization of Development / Infrastructure;
— control the efficiency and technical quality of WePlay products;
— create, develop and implement policies / development standards in close cooperation with other units involved;
— be open to new solutions / technologies, ready to adapt and develop in relation to current industry trends and to our fast pace environment.
We require you to have:
— at least 7+ years of software development experience;
— of course 3+ years of technical leadership experience;
— experience as an architect or in related positions;
— understand of the principles of software quality assurance;
— knowledge of software development principles and types of software architecture, methodologies and design of software, databases, API;
— ability to evaluate software performance and compliance of software with technical requirements;

— ability and desire to quickly develop / learn, find and integrate new solutions and find the proper solution to implement it.
