About the role: As an expert in Odoo development, your primary focus will be to lead the migration of custom code from Odoo v12 to v17, ensuring seamless transitions and robust functionality. If you have a strong background in Odoo, along with leadership and mentoring skills, we want you on our team!

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute complex migration projects, transitioning custom code, modules, and integrations from Odoo v12 to v17.
• Analyze and review existing custom Odoo code, identifying migration challenges and formulating effective solutions.
• Refactor and rewrite custom modules and functionalities to comply with Odoo v17 standards, best practices, and performance optimizations.
• Ensure data integrity and maintain business continuity throughout the migration process.
• Perform extensive testing to validate that all migrated features and functions are working correctly post-migration.
• Develop and maintain clear documentation for migration processes, code changes, and configuration updates.
• Provide training and guidance to team members and end-users, ensuring a smooth transition to Odoo v17.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise before, during, and after the migration process.
• Mentor junior developers and share knowledge to help them grow their Odoo expertise.

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on Odoo development experience, with strong expertise in both Odoo v12 and v17.
• Proven success in leading migration projects between major Odoo versions, with demonstrated ability to handle complex migrations.
• Deep understanding of Odoo’s architecture, ORM, data models, and modular structure.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, XML, and QWeb for Odoo development.
• Experience with Odoo’s API changes, module updates, and versioning between releases.
• Familiarity with database migrations, including data transformation techniques and tools.
• Strong experience with Git for version control and familiarity with CI/CD pipeline integration.
