Join the team behind SHKeeper — an open-source, self-hosted cryptocurrency payment gateway.

We’re looking for a Python Developer to join our team in Kyiv or Warsaw. SHKeeper is not a fintech startup. It’s a self-hosted solution, and we aim to make it simpler, faster, and more powerful. You’ll be working to implement core features, optimize performance, and expand the ecosystem around SHKeeper.

Tech stack we use:

Python 3.10+, FastAPI, MariaDB, Docker, GitHub Actions, RPC APIs, Linux, shell scripts, nginx, Bitcoin Core, Ethereum (Geth), Tron, Electrum.

What we’re looking for:

• 2+ years of experience in backend Python development
• Solid understanding of web protocols, REST APIs, and async programming
• Familiarity with Docker, Git, and CI/CD workflows
• Strong attention to security best practices
• Ability to work independently and bring your own ideas to the table

Bonus points for:

• Experience with FastAPI or similar frameworks
• Hands-on knowledge of blockchain APIs (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tron, etc.)
• Understanding of crypto payment flows, multisig wallets, or UTXO models
• Contributions to open-source projects
• Experience with MariaDB or similar databases
• Previous experience in privacy-first or self-hosted products

What you’ll be doing:

• Develop and maintain backend services in Python (FastAPI preferred)
• Work with Bitcoin and altcoin RPC APIs, wallets, and block explorers
• Implement internal logic for transaction validation, fee estimation, and multi-currency support
• Optimize data handling for blockchain-related workflows
• Collaborate on integrations with third-party systems (CMS, e-commerce, hosting panels)
• Contribute to documentation and deployment automation
• Help the team ensure the security, scalability, and stability of the system
