Description
Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate will serve as an integral team member responsible for data quality issues across funds, liaising with fund administrators, custodians, market data providers and our internal Technology and Operations Teams. This department will act as hub for all of company’s internal and external data flows. The team will play a pivotal role in optimising and enhancing how our organisation interacts with its Clients and service partners.
What are the minimum requirements you need for the role?
- 1-3 years relevant experience managing and optimising data flows and data transformation
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business or Finance related
- Experience developing solutions utilizing Analytics, BI, database, and Visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau).
- A strong drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to unravel complex queries
- Positive attitude: can do approach and willing to give everything a go from manual processing to larger projects
- Good punctuality and time management skills
- Conceptual understanding of asset management or asset servicing sector
What is the role and your responsibilities?
- Identify potential areas of automation within the Groups data flows
- Oversee daily SLAs are met with required quality
- Ingesting third party data into our data lake and warehouse. You will work with different vendor APIs and services.
- Working with vendor partners to understand the data they are providing, and document the data sets, lineage, and flows.
- Designing and building data models to support Data Science, Business Intelligence, and downstream data sets.
- Monitoring the data pipelines and communicating any issues to leadership and stakeholders.
- Ability to create and manage SharePoint and other vendor-based Workflows.
- Supporting the needs of downstream sales and marketing systems.
- Working closely with business partners and developers to ensure proper requirements are documented and agreed to for our different initiatives.
- Build a strong repository of Operations and Domain knowledge in the team
- Active involvement in capturing process changes/updates and developing workflows based on requirement.
- Communicate with data and valuation vendors, brokers, and requestors etc. to obtain information regarding assets.
- Investigation of reference data queries and critical client issues.
- Maintain documentation of the process activities / process change is in line with the organisational/audit standards
- Understanding of different instrument types within the asset management or asset servicing sector.
- Create and document data quality controls to continue market leading service reporting. All identified anomalies / issues to be documented to identify trends.
- Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders and progress any issues to close. Root cause analysis to be conducted and documented to assist with creating data quality controls.
- Since many of our team members are located in the UK and Ireland, it would be ideal if you can work 9:00 — 18:00 UK time.
What competencies do you require?
- Understanding of asset management experience would be advantageous
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, Power BI skills an advantage
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to structure complex problems, navigate challenging data sets, develop solutions, and craft high-quality executive presentations
- Accurate and precise attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English language.
