Vilmate is seeking an organized and proactive Project Manager to streamline our delivery pipeline and oversee release management.

Vilmate is an over 120-strong, close-knit, and highly professional software development team based in Kyiv and Warsaw. We have been engaged in delivering bespoke software to North American and Western European clients since 2012 and are equally experienced in web and mobile development.

About the client:

Our client is a tech startup and media platform registered in Stockholm, Sweden. The organization operates as the world’s largest media platform dedicated exclusively to climate action. The company functions as both a review platform and a social network. Its core mission is to democratize knowledge about climate solutions, reduce global climate impact, and mobilize global action toward a fossil-free future. Rather than viewing the climate crisis passively, the platform leverages the power of social media to connect individuals, hold leaders and companies accountable, and amplify the demand for transparency and systemic change.

About The Project:

The core deliverable of the project is the platform’s review web application and associated mobile systems, which allow users free of charge to create climate reviews, interact, and collaborate.

Key technical and operational characteristics of the project infrastructure include:

• Green Infrastructure: Since 2018, the review platform has run entirely on renewable energy to minimize its digital carbon footprint.
• Eco-Conscious Operations: The broader project operations strictly emphasize circular use of IT equipment, minimized travel, and digital-first meetings.
• Tech Stack Ecosystem: The development involves robust infrastructure supporting web and mobile applications, utilizing languages and frameworks like Python for backend services, DevOps pipelines, React for front-end web engineering, and React Native for cross-platform mobile experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Release Management: Own the release schedule, coordinates deployment timelines, and ensure all team members are aligned on what features are included in each milestone.
• Task Distribution & Tracking: Translate project roadmaps into actionable tasks for the engineering team; monitor progress and proactively unblock developers.
• Stakeholder Communication: Maintain seamless, clear, and professional communication regarding project status, risks, and timelines with internal stakeholders.
• Agile Facilitation: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective sessions to maintain team velocity and a collaborative working environment.

Requirements:

• Communication: Exceptional written and spoken English.
• Style & Approach: Organized, collaborative, and diplomatic approach to team dynamics; ability to maintain stability and focus in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience: Proven track record managing software development projects using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Tools: Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, ClickUp, Linear).
