Vilmate is looking for a Senior .NET Developer to join a Swiss fintech company with a leading marketplace for structured investment solutions.

Vilmate (​vilmate.com​) is a 140-strong, close-knit, and highly professional software development team based in Kharkiv and Kyiv, Ukraine. We have been engaged in delivering bespoke software to North-American and Western-European clients since 2012 and are equally experienced in Web and mobile development.

About client:
The client offers derivative investment products and services and predominantly covers the capital protection, yield enhancement, and participation product classes. They act as both a direct issuer of its own products and as a partner to other financial institutions. They further enable life insurance companies and banks to produce capital-efficient, unit-linked pension products with guarantees.

Requirements:
● Strong professional experience in developing backend services with C#/.NET.
● Willingness to work with VBA (or learn it) and Excel for the first year to understand the existing code and migrate its functionality to new technologies without interrupting the trading activities.
● Enough experience in SQL to implement simple SQL database management operations.
● Knowledge of investment banking and derivative financial products.
● Brilliant at delivering working solutions in a short time frame.
● Excellent communication skills.
● Fascinated by the — sometimes „crazy” but thrilling — trading world.
● Good spoken and written English language.
● Understanding of Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities:
● You will work on a set of approx. 35 trading applications (fat clients in Excel/VBA) that need to be either re-written completely with .NET (30%), migrated to C# (40%), or maintained in Excel/VBA (30%).
● Contribute to a high-profile migration and transformation project over several years at the core of the business.
● Working directly with Traders, Sales Experts, and Product Designers, you design and implement tactical software solutions that boost their daily business activities.
● You build real trust relationships with your colleagues/clients and you pro-actively reach out to them to propose improvements to existing solutions.
