Job Requirements:

As a Shipping Specialist you will have the responsibility of entering new orders to our system
Manage the maintenance, preparation, and routing of purchase orders
Prepare accurate bills of lading
Communicate with shipping companies and truckers to ensure prompt pick-up and delivery of shipments
Arrange same-day deliveries whenever possible
Review purchase orders and shipment contents prior to releasing them from our facility
Effectively plan and execute workflow to ensure timely and cost-effective order processing and shipment
Monitor, track, and communicate the progress of outbound shipments to ensure efficient and timely updates
Arrange transportation and orchestrate deliveries to meet customer demand with little to no delay
Communicate with sales representatives and warehouse on orders
Plan and track the shipment of products according to customer requirements
Working directly with clients regarding POs, order acknowledgments, product shipping schedule, answering inquires via phone and email
Keep logs and records of shipments leaving the warehouse
Prepare and publish daily and weekly reports related to inbound/outbound shipments as needed
Prepare accurate reports for upper management
Assist manager and team with daily operations
Tracks and reviews outbound EDI files
Ensure accurate and timely processing of EDI transactions
Ensure EDI transmission on time for order fulfillment
Process all EDI orders and coordinate with 3PL
Arrange testing of all EDI transaction processes based on customer requirements 810, 850, 856, 940,945
Perform other duties as assigned
Working hours 10 am-5 pm EST

1-3 years minimum relevant work experience required
Experience in transportation and freight classification is a must
Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communications skills for interaction with drivers, customers and other Company staff
Knowledge of Supply Chain is a plus
Ability to organize, prioritize and problem solve
Able to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
Knowledge of EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) is a plus
