    Here is our hiring process for this position:
    About 80% of success will be determined by your solution of a paid test task which consists of 8 independent and equally scored subtasks. The entire task is supposed to take 1-3 hours to solve depending on your skills (the actual time it took doesn’t affect the score). We will reimburse your effort by $40 payment if you successfully solve at least 5 out of 8 subtasks. You will get a full access to a new server, created from an image that was taken from an intentionally “slightly broken” server (here is an example). The task is to fix it. Please, keep in mind that there is a validation system that you can use (url will be in readme of a server provided to you); while there will be a second manual review stage we encourage you to use the validator to quickly get some feedback.


    Given a successful solution, the rest will be determined by an interview over skype. If you don’t wish to send your CV before knowing your test results, please write few words as a cover letter to let us know that you are a relevant candidate.

  • Developing additional functionality for a PHP+Wordpress+Amember based website (and maybe helping to migrate it to something more modern one day)
  • Configuration and maintenance of Linux (Debian) servers (currently located in cloud).
  • Setup and configuration of new servers as more are required.
  • Applying security measures to protect these servers (configuring software in a secure way, setting up necessary alerts and making sure those actually work).
  • Data backup and recovery.
  • Automating some manual processes.
