We invite an Automation QA Technical Lead to join the VeliHorizon product team.

Horizon is the API-driven, microservices-based platform that takes online casinos, sports betting, and beyond to the next level.

Tech stack:
Java, TestNG, Selenide, Rest-Assured, Report Portal, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, HTTP, gRPC, AWS, ArgoCD

In this role, you will:

• Collaborate with the QA Engineering Lead, Technical Lead, and CTO to form a vision, and develop and implement effective QA strategies and best practices within the team
• Work closely with the DevOps team to continuously improve Kubernetes-native test runners for efficiently running thousands of automated tests in a multi-tenant microservice platform
• Oversee and ensure quality assurance across seven teams, fostering an environment focused on identifying and addressing system quality to deliver a world-class product
• Create and maintain guidelines, identify patterns for improvement, and proactively scale best practices in automated test implementation
• Encourage adopting industry-standard QA practices and cutting-edge technologies to optimize the team’s efficiency
• Develop a deep understanding of both business and technical product quality requirements and areas for improvement
• Participate in troubleshooting automated testing issues and lead the QA automation efforts during major deployments
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail, curiosity, initiative, and effective communication skills. Exhibit a proactive, self-motivated attitude with a positive outlook
• Development of the QA automation team, including conducting interviews and fostering growth within the team

Skills and experience you will need:

• Strong background in building QA automation environments and conducting tests using Java, with a solid understanding of OOP principles, SOLID, and design patterns
• Proven experience in building robust QA automation environments, including frameworks, guidelines, pipelines, and deployment processes
• Expertise in setting up and managing test automation analytics platforms such as Report Portal, Allure Report, or similar tools
• Hands-on experience with tools like TestNG, Selenium, Selenide, Rest-Assured, gRPC, and Kafka
• Familiarity with Groovy, Gradle, Spock, and Lombok is a plus
• Experience testing asynchronous microservice-based API platforms
• Strong people management and cross-team collaboration skills

Will be a plus:

• Experience with Kubernetes environments will be a huge advantage
• Knowledge of performance testing tools like Gatling and others is advantageous
