Senior Fullstack Engineer (React + Node)

We’re looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer (React + Node) to join our partner’s startup.

❗️Please note: This is not a traditional 9–5 role. You’ll need to overlap with the U.S. (Pacific Time) team — usually working until about 1 PM PT / midnight Kyiv time — with occasional weekend involvement.

About the Client

The client is building modern financial infrastructure to accelerate the growth of American industry, starting with a fundamental problem: equipment financing.

In the U.S., most industrial businesses don’t buy machinery upfront — they finance it. This $1.3T market powers sectors like manufacturing, logistics, and agriculture but still runs on outdated systems. Third-party lenders dominate, offering loans at 40% APR, relying on manual approvals and paper-heavy processes, and accounting for over $1T in annual financed sales.

A few major manufacturers have solved this by creating their own finance divisions, but 99.5% of equipment vendors can’t afford to. The client enables them to do just that — providing AI-driven underwriting, capital-as-a-service, point-of-sale integrations, and a complete suite of software and financial tools.

Their partners range from robotics startups and family-owned equipment dealers to medical suppliers and heavy machinery OEMs. Wherever equipment is sold, their vision is to become the financial operating system powering the transaction.

This is a deeply complex challenge, and it demands an exceptional team. The company brings together experts from industrial operations, fintech, and capital markets who have built platforms used by millions, scaled finance funds beyond $100M in revenue, and raised billions in capital facilities. Backed by a $7M seed round from leading investors, they’re now executing on that vision.

Role

We need an Engineer who is eager to learn new things, comfortable with ambiguity, quick to adapt, and proactive in communication. Someone product-oriented, with a good sense for UI/UX, and ready to jump in wherever needed.

Must-Haves

• Expert-level backend development with Node.js
• Expert-level frontend development with React
• Strong experience with AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, etc.)
• Solid knowledge of Terraform, Serverless, or other IaC frameworks
• Strong database engineering skills (both SQL and NoSQL)
• Confident working with Docker and containerized deployments
• Skilled at profiling and optimizing backend and frontend performance

Nice-to-Haves

• Familiarity with SSR/SSG frameworks (e.g., Next.js, Remix)
• Prior experience at small, fast-moving startups
• Experience with Nest.js
• Understanding of microservices architecture
• Applied LLM experience (e.g., automating document extraction)
