Backend (Node.JS) Team Lead (вакансія неактивна)

Currently, we are looking for a skilled and experienced Backend Team Lead. Your primary responsibility is to manage the back-end team development process.

It’s all about you:

  • At least 6 years of software development experience
  • 3+ years’ experience working on large-scale and high-performance distributed systems based on cloud computing infrastructure
  • Minimum 3 years of development and design experience with Node.js
  • Managed teams for at least 3 years (with 5 team members at least)
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases (like Postgres, MongoDB, and Redis)
  • Experience with SOA/Microservices (communication, patterns, development process)
  • Experience working with WebSockets and messaging (like RabbitMQ, and Kafka)
  • Experience with AWS (S3, Aurora, Cloudfront)
  • Experience in scaling and high-load products
  • Strong Computer Science fundamentals are a must

What you’ll help us do:

  • Hands-on development of features (~70% of the time).
  • Implement new services/features as a backend developer
  • Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle
  • Manage the backend development team
  • Improvement of CI\CD processes
  • Implement Unit Tests
  • Implement API automated tests in cooperation with QA Automation Team Lead
  • Implement the technical design stage in the back-end team development process
  • Manage backlog grooming
  • Manage tasks estimation process and improve its accuracy
  • Manage back-end team delivery
  • Manage tech debt backlog of back-end team
  • Manage developer’s individual delivery and tech skills improvement
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and teamwork across the back-end team
  • Manage back-end team engineering process from development to testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Ensure the creation of the documentation required for knowledge sharing and optimal onboarding of new back-end team members.
  • Ensure the back-end team adheres to best practices, processes, and standards for software development, testing, and deployment.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to improve the app’s performance, scalability, and reliability.
