— At least 4+ years’ practical experience with Data Science, Big Data, and BI analytics;
— Experience in Implementing with ML algorithms (e.g.; SVM, Linear regression, logistic regression, KNN, etc.);
— Experience in Implementing with appropriate ML Libraries (e.g.; — numpy, pandas, scikit learn, Matplotlib, Seaborn, NLTK, etc.);
— Experience using programming tools like MATLAB;
— Experience with Vision processing/Text processing, NLP, Deep neural networks, Gaussian processes, and reinforcement learning;
— Good programming Experience with Python, Scala;
— Experience with data visualization tools — Tableau or PowerBI;
— Experience with Continuous Integration & deployment;
— Good Analytical Thinking & Problem-Solving skill;
— B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science or Ph.D. in Computer Science/ Mathematics or Statistics.

— Perform end-top-end data-based research and hands-on development of models;
— Design data mining solutions to be implemented and executed with alignment to the planned scope and design coverage and needs/uses, leveraging knowledge and a broad understanding of E2E business processes and requirements;
— Define the data analytics research plan and scope required to meet the objectives of his/her area of ownership;
— Identify and analyze new data analytic directions and their potential business impact to determine the proper prioritization of data analytics activities based on business needs and analytics ROI;
— Identify data sources, oversees the data collection process and designs the data structure in collaboration with data experts (BI or big-data) and subject matter and business experts. Ensures that data used in the data analysis activities are of the highest quality;
— Construct data models (algorithms and formulas) for required business needs and predictions;
— Work closely with content experts and managers to pinpoint queries, map data, and validate results;
— Preparation of results presentations and present them during conferences.

Amdocs MIS AI group is seeking a Data Scientist to develop & support ML systems by adopting top-notch implementation best practices.
Data Lake (empowered by Hortonworks) is MIS’s next-generation platform that facilitates self-service requirements of data exploration/data discovery, advanced predictive analytics, AI automation with machine learning/deep learning models.
Data Lake and Data Virtualization programs facilitate a “Data Platform” for all business units in Amdocs. The AI initiative in MIS is to collaborate with all BUs in Amdocs and assist with ML/AI related requirements.
Your primary focus will be to automate the delivery of various models by collaborating with various Amdocs business unit’s Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Business Analysts & Technical teams to understand significant metrics and how they are derived.
You will design, execute and build tools for online experiments (A/B tests) and offline experiments (human relevance judgment) that help us improve and fine-tune our data-focused features (Search, Recommendations, etc.).
