Now we are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the team of our client — a leading Swiss energy services provider and electricity producer in Europe.

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, your responsibility includes ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of client’s critical business applications. Your role is crucial in utilizing your expertise to enhance the stability and efficiency of their IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Support Business IT Applications both on-premise (VMware, hybrid) and in the Cloud to provide a stable environment for Business Users in accordance with agreed Service Level Agreements;
• Follow Best Practice processes for incidents, problems, change, and configuration management;
• Implement patching and maintenance of Business Applications according to defined processes;
• Lead the successful transition of new Business Applications to the SRE Team;
• Lead implementation, process, and document reviews to improve team efficiency and knowledge sharing;
• Configure and improve Gitlab CI/CD pipelines;
• Implement and improve monitoring of various applications using Terraform code;
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical Business Applications.

Requirements:

• University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience;
• 4+ years of experience as Site Reliability Engineer (or similar role);
• 3+ years of experience in other IT technical roles;
• Hands-on experience with 2nd or 3rd level support of Business Critical Applications;
• Excellent knowledge of AWS Cloud, Gitlab, Terraform, and Datadog (or other monitoring tools);
• Strong SQL knowledge;
• Experience in Linux, Windows, and DB systems;
• Experience with IT infrastructure (hardware, network, and storage) is preferred;
• Experience with Atlassian products is preferred;
• Experience of working in the trading environment is an advantage;
• English proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher.
