Scope of Work
The project involves:
- Working with AI-generated motion sequences for two custom skeletons
- Applying animation to non-standard skeleton rigs
- Setting up two 3D avatars and a 3D environment
- Building animation scenes in Unreal Engine
- Creating a scalable rendering pipeline
- Automating batch rendering of large numbers of video scenes
- Optimizing performance and render workflow
- Preparing a reusable pipeline for future scenes
The expected volume is large (tens of thousands of rendered scenes), so automation and pipeline thinking are critical.
Important Technical Notes
- Custom (non-standard) skeleton is used
- AI-generated motion sequences are provided
- MetaHuman is out of scope (but practical experience is a bonus)
- Avatars will be custom or marketplace characters
- The candidate must understand constraint-based rigging and retargeting
What You Will Do
- Set up animation retargeting for custom skeletons
- Build constraint-based rig where needed
- Configure Unreal Sequencer scenes
- Set up Movie Render Queue and batch rendering
- Automate scene generation and rendering workflow
- Optimize rendering and scene performance
- Propose best technical solutions for scalability
We Are Looking For Someone Who Has
Must have
- Strong experience with Unreal Engine 5
- Experience with animation pipelines in Unreal
- Retargeting animations to custom skeletons
- Understanding of rigging, IK/FK, constraints
- Sequencer & Movie Render Queue
- Batch rendering / automation experience
- Technical problem-solving mindset
Nice to have
- Python scripting/C++ in Unreal
- Blueprint automation
- Experience with large-scale render pipelines
- Blender / Maya rigging knowledge
- Experience with AI motion or mocap pipelines

Test Task
Selected candidates will receive a short technical test task:
animate and render a small test sequence using provided assets and motion data.
