QA Lead

The Fourth Law (TFL) — develops autonomy modules for robotic systems. Our current focus is on building full autonomy for FPV drones, broken down into gradual deliveries. Our first product is already in use and receiving great reviews. We’re now looking for a skilled QA Lead to support our growing production.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement comprehensive quality control processes and quality management systems (QMS);
  • Lead a team of QA testers/operators in conducting inspection procedures;
  • Interface with cross-functional departments including R&D, production, and logistics;
  • Document and report on quality metrics, defect rates, and compliance with quality standards;
  • Participate in developing configuration management systems and product versioning protocols;
  • Implement statistical process control (SPC) methodologies to identify and reduce variability;
  • Provide customer support on quality-related issues, including defect investigation, root cause analysis, and resolution;
  • Conduct failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to proactively address potential quality issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent field, or 4+ years of relevant engineering experience;
  • Programming skills (Python, C++) for test automation;
  • Hands-on experience with FPV drones and UAV systems;
  • Leadership abilities and organizational skills with a proven track record;
  • Capable of working independently and leading a team effectively;
  • Accountability and results-oriented mindset;
  • Experience with non-conformance reporting and corrective action procedures.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in defense or aerospace industries;
  • Familiarity with quality assurance methodologies (Six Sigma, TQM, PDCA cycles);
  • Knowledge of military standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, etc.);
  • Certifications in quality management (ASQ CQE, CSQE, or similar).
