Software Engineer with Fixed Wing UAV

The Fourth Law (TFL) — develops autonomy modules for robotic systems. Our current focus is on building full autonomy for FPV drones, broken down into gradual deliveries. Our first product is already in use and receiving great reviews. We’re now looking for a skilled Software Engineer with Fixed Wing UAV experience (based in Kyiv or Lviv).

Requirements:

• Experience piloting and developing for a fixed wing UAV;
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and embedded systems programming;
• Experience with flight control systems and autopilot software (ArduPilot, PX4), communication protocols;
• Experience with UAV ground control software and mission planning tools;
• Understanding the principles of drones and its systems (engines, drivers, communication, controllers, power, navigation, etc.);
• Familiarity with simulation and modeling tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink) is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implementing, and maintain software for fixed wing UAV systems;
• Integrate software with UAV hardware components, including avionics, sensors, and communication systems;
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for software solutions and integration processes;
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in UAV technology and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
