Automation QA Engineer for Testomat.io

Testomat.io is a modern test management platform built for QA engineers and developers who value clarity, automation, and real testing insights.

We are looking for an Automation QA Engineer to ensure the quality of Testomat.io by working with both automated and manual testing. This role goes beyond “just writing autotests” — you will actively contribute to the automation ecosystem, CI/CD pipelines, reporters and plugins, and help investigate real production issues reported by clients.

This position is for someone who can jump in quickly, take ownership, and have a real impact on product quality.

• JavaScript / TypeScript (core stack)

• Automation reporters & plugins
• Java and Python — optional (for plugin support)

✅ Responsibilities

• Actively participate in manual and exploratory testing, not only automation
• Build and maintain automated tests using JS/TS, Playwright, and CodeceptJS
• Improve and support existing reporter plugins (mainly JS/TS-based)
• Fix defects in reporters and plugins when issues are discovered
• Occasionally support plugins written in Java and Python (optional, not core)
• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automation tasks
• Work with multiple CI systems (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, Azure, etc.)
• Communicate with clients in English, helping investigate and resolve complex issues
• Analyze tricky edge cases and understand why something doesn’t work — not just that it doesn’t

📌 Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in automation testing
• Confident JavaScript / TypeScript automation skills
• Experience with Playwright and CodeceptJS
• Solid understanding of testing principles, not just automation frameworks
• Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to independently investigate complex technical issues
• Good English communication skills (client interaction is part of the role)
