About the Project

We are looking for an experienced Delivery Manager / Senior Project Manager to join a banking project for our client in Africa. The project operates in the fintech/banking domain and is delivered in a fixed-price model.

The role is strongly delivery-oriented, with the overall goal of ensuring high-quality delivery of a new product to new end clients of our customer. The primary focus is on successful project delivery — scope, timelines, budget, and quality.

We are considering candidates who are based in Lviv, Ukraine, with a hybrid work model combining office and remote work.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of end-to-end project delivery for a large-scale fintech/banking project
• Drive end-to-end project delivery: from planning and execution to release and post-delivery evaluation
• Manage delivery in a fixed-price engagement model
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams of 25+ people
• Plan, control, and manage project budgets, ensuring financial transparency and predictability
• Work effectively with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, adapting the approach to project needs
• Act as the main point of contact for the client and key stakeholders
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts and banking domain experts to ensure accurate translation of business and regulatory requirements into delivery plans and product outcomes
• Translate business and regulatory banking requirements into clear delivery plans
• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate delivery, financial, and dependency risks
• Provide clear status reporting and communication to internal and external stakeholders
• Mentor and manage Junior Project Managers involved in the project delivery
• Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes and execution quality
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Delivery Manager / Senior Project Manager on fintech or banking projects
• Hands-on experience delivering large-scale projects (25+ FTE), in fixed-price engagement models
• Strong experience in project budgeting and financial management
• Solid knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile/Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall) and ability to adapt them to project needs
• Strong technical background or deep understanding of software development technologies, architectures, and the SDLC
• Proven track record of managing delivery-focused, technically complex projects
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills
• Experience working with project management tools (Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Trello, etc.)
• Strong skills in risk management, process optimization, and conflict resolution
• Ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in preparing project documentation (requirements, delivery plans, reports, presentations)
• Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Fluency in English (spoken and written)
