We are looking for a QA Engineer to join a large-scale trading platform project for our London-based client operating in the financial markets sector.
Responsibilities
- Perform functional testing of web and desktop applications.
- Identify and investigate issues and defects, analyze logs, and communicate with developers for resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members to resolve technical problems and ensure smooth communication.
- Create and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test scenarios, and bug reports.
- Analyze requirements and determine testing criteria.
- Monitor and optimize testing processes.
Requirements
- 3+ years of commercial experience in software testing (web and desktop applications).
- Hands-on experience with various testing methods: functional, integration, regression, smoke, and sanity testing.
- Practical experience with testing tools such as TestRail, Postman, Charles.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Experience creating test scenarios, test cases, and bug reports.
- Solid understanding of client—server architecture and system interactions.
- Ability to analyze product requirements, identify risks, and propose solutions.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum principles and experience working within these methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Mathematics, Analytics, or related field.
- English: Upper-Intermediate (B2+) — strong verbal and written communication is required.
