• Strong Java. Multithreading, collections, generics, memory, exceptions
etc.
• Unit testing, Design patterns, SOLID, DI
• Android SDK
• You own your code
• You can produce results without managers buzzing in your ear
• Very good verbal and written English

• Hands-on experience developing SDKs or backend systems (not
just mobile apps) is a big plus
• Understanding of mobile application typical project structure and
lifecycle, limitations and best practices
• Experience with ExoPlayer or other media player (not necessary, easy
to pick up on the go)
• Integration testing on Android
• Understanding of REST APIs and how mobile devices communicate
data to/from server
• Other languages: Kotlin, Javascript, you name it

• Experience or interest in other mobile platforms

Our project is not about client-facing app, there is almost no UI, think of it as a
backend for media player with lots of business logic.
Hence, we are looking for an experienced Software Engineer. You might have
had extensive Java background and then you turned to Android development.
Or you are Senior Android developer and know your way about Java very well.
You can help us develop our native Android Video and Advertising player SDK,
make code clean, maintainable and testable and output SDK super easy-tointegrate
for users.

Our client is one of the largest media holdings in Europe. It operates
commercial television, premium pay channels, radio stations and related print
businesses. Products of this corporation are represented in 17 countries, and
you will be part of the big family with the digital entertainment activities.
How we work:
VVS Native team creates Mobile Video and Advertising player SDKs which
integrate with 2 other projects we have here.
All team members are engineers, no overseeing managers. We give you time
and means, you do what you think is best for Player. We don’t spare time to
test our code, working on unit tests is put into estimate and is part of PRs. We
believe in Pair Programming and try to do it most of the time.
