You’ll play a key role in analyzing data, developing reports and dashboards, defining business metrics, and translating stakeholder requirements into actionable analytical solutions. While the role is primarily focused on analytics and reporting, experience working alongside Data Engineers and an understanding of modern data engineering practices will be highly beneficial.

We operate an Azure-focused technology stack, leveraging Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Power BI to deliver trusted, high-quality data and reporting solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional product squads to understand business requirements, deliver valuable insights, and promote best practices across the analytics lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Product Owners and business stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into meaningful reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions.
• Develop and maintain reports and interactive dashboards using Power BI.
• Analyze large datasets using SQL to identify trends, generate insights, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Work closely with Data Engineers to ensure data is reliable, accessible, and suitable for reporting and analytics.
• Support the design and validation of data models that enable effective business reporting and product analytics.
• Use Azure Data Factory and other Azure services to understand and consume data pipelines and support data integration processes where required.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business metrics, KPIs, and reporting standards.
• Validate data quality and investigate data issues to ensure accurate and trusted reporting.
• Maintain clear documentation of reports, business logic, data definitions, and analytical processes.
• Coordinate work through Jira, participating in agile ceremonies including planning, refinement, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting standards, analytics processes, and data governance.
• Stay up to date with Azure analytics technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within Financial Services, Banking, or FinTech.
• Strong hands-on experience with the Azure data stack, particularly:
• Azure SQL
• Power BI
• Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Advanced SQL skills with the ability to analyse, manipulate, and interpret complex datasets.
• Strong experience designing dashboards, reports, and visualisations in Power BI.
• Experience translating business requirements into analytical solutions and reporting.
• Comfortable working directly with business stakeholders and communicating technical findings to non-technical audiences.
• Experience working within agile, product-led delivery teams.
• Good understanding of data modelling and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience collaborating with Data Engineers or a good understanding of modern data engineering practices is advantageous.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
