Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled SharePoint Developer to support the migration of enterprise content and collaboration platforms from SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint 2016. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SharePoint architecture, development, and migration strategies, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth transition with minimal disruption to business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the migration of SharePoint 2013 sites, libraries, workflows, and custom solutions to SharePoint 2016.
- Analyze existing SharePoint 2013 environment and identify dependencies, customizations, and potential migration challenges.
- Develop and deploy custom SharePoint solutions using SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio, and PowerShell.
- Optimize and refactor legacy code and workflows for compatibility with SharePoint 2016.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure migrated content meets business needs.
- Provide post-migration support, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Document migration processes, configurations, and customizations.
- Ensure compliance with governance, security, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in SharePoint development and administration.
- Proven experience migrating from SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint 2016.
- Proficiency in SharePoint Designer and PowerShell scripting.
- Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, site collections, content types, workflows, and permissions.
- Experience with third-party migration tools (e.g., ShareGate, Metalogix) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with SharePoint Online and hybrid environments.
- Familiarity with InfoPath forms and Nintex workflows.
- Knowledge of SQL Server and IIS.
- Agile/Scrum experience.
