About the Role

We’re looking for a Principal Data Strategist to support a global data-driven organization.

In this role, you will define and drive the data strategy, manage data products, and ensure high-quality, scalable data delivery across the business.

You will work closely with product, engineering, and business teams to turn data into real business value.

What You’ll Do

• Define and execute data strategy and long-term roadmap
• Drive innovation using AI/ML and modern data technologies
• Identify and onboard new data sources
• Own data product requirements and delivery processes
• Work with stakeholders to define KPIs and data-driven decisions
• Ensure successful delivery of data initiatives (quality, scalability, performance)
• Identify risks and manage dependencies across projects
• Establish and enforce data governance and quality standards
• Improve data architecture, scalability, and security
• Implement automation and monitoring across data pipelines
• Communicate progress, risks, and strategy to senior stakeholders
• Collaborate with product, engineering, QA, and business teams

Must-Have Requirements

• 8+ years in Data Strategy / Data Product / similar roles
• Experience defining and executing data strategy for large-scale systems
• Strong understanding of data models, structures, and data lifecycle
• Experience with data pipelines and data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Redshift)
• Strong knowledge of data governance and quality frameworks
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum / Kanban)
• Strong communication skills (able to explain complex topics simply)
• Experience working with cross-functional teams

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in Finance / Risk / Regulatory domains
• Experience with AI / ML in data products
• Experience with enterprise-level data platforms

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Finance, or similar
• Master’s degree or MBA is a plus
