Methodology, workflow

We follow an agile environment, using Scrum methodology.

The team

The team comprises developers, test automation engineers, scrum masters, and product owners, supported by solution architects, delivery managers, and DevOps engineers distributed mainly among Netherlands, Sweden, Ukraine and Romania.

You will join the backend-end squad of one of the development teams.

As the Java Team Lead on our team, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of Java developers and performing the following tasks:

• Lead and mentor the Java development team to ensure the timely delivery of tactical and strategic improvements to our large-scale Java/Spring-based product.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and the development team to design, develop, and test Java-based solutions using Spring frameworks.
• Manage and prioritize the team’s workload to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Maintain and update all existing server applications, ensuring they meet performance and reliability requirements.
• Translate software requirements into maintainable solutions within the existing application frameworks while ensuring that the team adheres to best practices and coding standards.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will be expected to provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, take part in the conduction of performance evaluations, and identify areas for improvement in the team’s processes and workflow.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java (version 8 or later), with a deep understanding of its core concepts and libraries.
• Demonstrable experience in team leading and mentoring, with the ability to guide and inspire team members to achieve their best performance.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively across various teams.
• A passion for software development and a desire to stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices.
