Cloud Backend Teamlead

Our customer is developing a worldwide network of devices at network edge locations, enabling the users with top class video experience in their homes. The system enables each user to consume his beloved videos from the most optimal edge location in no time. The team focuses on data transfer and networking problems, aggregating users data and applying real time decisions to optimize the content delivery.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative leader, to drive forward a cloud-based CDN management platform. Here you will lead the development of a multidisciplinary team of highly talented backend and frontend engineers. You will create value, expand current solutions, and discover and initiate new ones. Responsibilities:

• You will lead a team of 7-8 excellent engineers
• You will lead the development of a CDN management platform — a complex cloud backend system controlling thousands of devices around the world, delivering high quality content to millions of users
• You will envision, develop and embed new methodologies and technologies to accelerate the velocity of the team
• You will guide the developers and drive them to new frontiers of cloud technologies

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent commercial experience
• 7+ years of experience in cloud backend development and architecture
• 3+ years of leadership experience
• Experience with Java, Python and/or Golang
• Experience with public cloud platforms, specifically AWS
• Experience with K8S and microservice architecture
• Readiness to learn, love technology and eager for challenges
• Great team playing attitude
• Fluency in English
