SYNCO is a recruiting agency that helps businesses sync with the right talent to support real growth and long-term success. We don’t just close roles — we find the kind of match where values, culture, and ambitions align on both sides. It’s about lasting impact, not quick fixes.
Now, we’re looking for a DevOps Engineer (part-time) for our partners — an exciting startup which is working on a mission-driven product designed to positively shape how people approach their day-to-day wellbeing.
This role is for someone with a proactive, product-minded approach who will take full ownership of AWS infrastructure and evolve it for reliability, scalability, and long-term product growth.
What to expect:
- A white-niche product that creates real value.
- Work with the latest technologies, without legacy constraints.
- Flat structure — quick decisions, minimal bureaucracy.
- Data-driven culture, transparent processes.
What you will do:
- Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform (IaC).
- Architect scalable serverless systems (Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, S3, RDS).
- Create automated deployment pipelines with GitLab CI/CD.
- Ensure high availability, resilience, and cost-optimization across all environments.
- Maintain and improve observability with Grafana / Prometheus.
- Drive infrastructure decisions with ownership, clarity, and a product mindset.
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering.
- Expertise in AWS, especially serverless architecture.
- Strong experience with Terraform & Serverless.
Hands-on GitLab CI/CD. - Monitoring/observability: Grafana, Prometheus, Loki (or similar).
- Strong scripting: Python, Bash.
- Solid understanding of networking, security, scalability, VPC, routing, WAF.
- Experience designing distributed, highly available systems.
- Ownership mindset and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proactive, thoughtful approach to architectural decisions
What we offer:
- Part-time schedule (20 hours per week with a flexible setup).
- Work from anywhere with a fully remote format.
- Basic benefits package, including paid vacation, sick leave, and more.
- Personal and professional support, with advocacy available when you need a hand.
- Access to a curated corporate library filled with resources to fuel your continuous learning and development.
We believe work should have meaning. At this startup, you won’t be building “just infrastructure.” You’ll create a foundation that directly supports a product improving people’s lives.
Sounds like you? Let’s talk.
