Associate Product Managers are responsible for guiding the success of a product and the cross-functional team that is responsible for improving it. Associate Product Managers provide the product expertise needed to help lead the development team and support making strategic product decisions. They can assist in analyzing market and competitive conditions, participate in developing a product vision that is differentiated. The role spans many activities from strategic to tactical and provides important cross-functional leadership — most notably between engineering, marketing, QA, and support teams.

The Associate Product Manager is part of the team that defines the why, when, and what of the product that the engineering team builds.
This includes:
— Participate and provide input to setting a product vision and strategy.
— Participate in the creative process of generating, developing, and curating new ideas.
— Assist with determining which ideas should be promoted into features to push the product strategy forward — namely those that will achieve key objectives for the business
— Help defining feature requirements and desired user experience
— Help prioritize features by ranking them against the strategic goals and initiatives
— Clearly articulate business value to the cross-functional team so they understand the intent behind the new product or product release
— User research, gathering insights and creating marketing specifications
— Basic familiarity with the education market and hardware development is a plus, but not required for this role

Associate Product Managers must work with US based Product Managers to plan what their teams will deliver and the timeline for implementation.
