Currently, we are looking for a Technical Program Manager.
📌 ROLE OVERVIEW: As a Technical Program Manager at Swarmer, you will drive the successful execution of complex technical programs critical to enhancing our defense-tech solutions’ capabilities and effectiveness. Your role will involve coordinating cross-functional teams across different departments and collaborating with external partner companies. You’ll manage timelines and ensure that our systems are delivered with the highest quality and performance standards.
📌 WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Program Coordination: Lead and coordinate the development, integration, and deployment of advanced defense technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and product management, to successfully deliver complex technical projects.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including military units and external partners. Ensure alignment on program goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Track progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Process Optimization: Continuously improve program management processes, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and consistency across all projects. Implement best practices in project management methodologies.
- Feedback and Iteration: Gather feedback from field deployments and integrate insights into the continuous improvement of our systems. Work closely with development teams to iterate on product features and ensure they meet user needs.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and support to engineering teams. Ensure that all technical aspects of the program are effectively communicated and understood across teams.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with technical projects. Ensure that potential issues are proactively addressed before they impact program success.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including status reports, meeting minutes, and action items. Ensure that all stakeholders have access to up-to-date information on program progress.
- Training and Support: Work with training teams to ensure that all relevant personnel are adequately trained on new systems and features. Provide ongoing support to ensure the successful adoption and use of our technology.
📌 WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in technical program management, with a proven track record of managing complex technical projects. Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment is preferred.
- Technical Expertise: 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams, with a solid understanding of software development processes. Experience in defense technology or related fields is a significant plus.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Strong ability to manage programs across multiple teams, including engineering, production, and product management. Experience building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in defining KPIs and SLAs, tracking program metrics, and generating actionable insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Project Management Expertise: Deep knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Kanban. Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, focusing on scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues that may impact program success.
- Customer-Centric Mindset: A deep commitment to customer success, characterized by proactivity, empathy, and a strong drive to deliver outstanding experiences to our military users.
- Collaboration: A team player who can work closely with technical teams, leadership, and external partners to achieve shared goals.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools.
- Technical education, with an understanding of embedded systems, hardware, or communication systems.
- Oral and written English proficiency at an upper-intermediate level or higher.
