Currently, we are looking for a Hardware Integration Product Manager.
📌 ROLE OVERVIEW:
As a Hardware Integration Product Manager at Swarmer, you will lead the ideation, prioritization, and execution of the hardware product roadmap. You will work on both our internal hardware stack, which is responsible for making drones Swarmer-enabled, and the integration of external hardware products from vendors into our pipeline. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our hardware solutions are market-ready, mission-critical, and deliver outstanding performance.
📌 WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Product Roadmap Leadership: Lead the ideation, prioritization, and execution of the hardware product roadmap, ensuring alignment with broader company objectives, market needs, and external manufacturing capabilities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across engineering, hardware, science/research, and business leadership to define product requirements, determine the hardware design, and ensure product-market fit.
- Vendor Integration: Lead the integration of external hardware products from third-party vendors into our pipeline.
- User Feedback Management: Gather and manage product feedback from internal teams, units, and field-test operators. Use feedback to continuously iterate and refine hardware products, ensuring they meet customer needs and user expectations.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to hardware development and integration. Work proactively with internal and external teams to mitigate risks and ensure the reliability of hardware products for mission-critical environments.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed product documentation and project status reports. Ensure all stakeholders have visibility into the progress and status of ongoing hardware projects.
- Market Research & Innovation: Stay updated on new hardware technologies that could benefit our products. Continuously evaluate and integrate cutting-edge solutions to enhance performance and meet our customers’ evolving needs.
📌 WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Hardware Product Manager for consumer-focused products. Experience in defense-related hardware or drone technology is a significant plus.
- Product Development Expertise: Ability to define and manage the full hardware product lifecycle, from concept to launch, with a focus on creating scalable and reliable hardware solutions. Experience leading the integration of external hardware components from vendors is essential.
- Cross-functional leadership: Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, research, marketing, and business leadership to deliver hardware products that meet both technical and market requirements.
- Technical and Analytical Skills: Strong technical understanding of hardware systems, embedded systems, and communication technologies. Ability to analyze data and user feedback to drive product improvements and prioritize feature development.
- Customer-Centric Mindset: Demonstrated passion for building hardware products, with a focus on delivering solutions that meet the unique needs of the market we operate in.
- Project Management Expertise: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery and quality across all hardware initiatives.
Preferred Skills:
- Technical education in robotics, electronics, embedded systems, or a related field.
- Familiarity with drone technology.
- Proven track record of developing hardware solutions across industries, such as robotics or consumer electronics.
