Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Lead Ruby on Rails Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. Our client is a leading global provider of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance and risk management software, data, and consulting services focusing on Environment, Health, Safety & Sustainability (EHS&S), Operational Risk Management, and Product Stewardship. That means gathering information and reporting to improve the environmental and social impacts on the customer’s business. We are looking at options to stand up a squad of resources for the new team in Europe (the client’s teams are Germany and Poland based). The team will be expected to work with the client’s people to deliver a project. The duration is from April or May to 6 months (prolongation is possible). The project will focus on implementing the common client’s UI header and navigation and the client’s B2C authentication and entitlements

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in team management.
• Strong organizational skills to give the team direction.
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and other departments.
• Experience in the development of web applications with Ruby on Rails.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and modern approaches in software development, including CI/CD.
• Understanding why and how to test your code and have an opinion on TDD.
• A big passion for web development and software engineering in general.
• Willingness to solve complex problems together with your team.
• An agile mindset and appreciate the agile methodology.
• You do not hesitate to question the status quo.
• A strong command of English.
