Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Node.js Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. The client’s product is built around a virtual identity helping individuals regain control over sharing personal information with the governments, financial institutions, and any other online and offline actors. The solution includes safe identity verification and authorization methods, communication by text, voice, and video functionality and payment options, relying on blockchain technology and layers of encryption. The client is seeking a Node.js/TypeScript Developer to join the backend team. As a Back End Software Engineer, you will specialize in building products on best-in-class technologies. You must have experience in micro-services-based platform development, Docker, REST/CRUD APIs, Postgres/SQL and supporting libraries, strong unit testing/mocking skills.

Requirements:

• 4+ years experience in building microservices-based platforms with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience in building maintainable and testable code bases, including API design and unit testing techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the client’s product and architect teams
• to build new and innovative application experiences for the backend platform.
• Implement Node.js-based micro-services, written in TypeScript, exposing public and private APIs and integrating with existing platform services.
• Build reusable software components and libraries.
• Analyze and optimize backend and infrastructure code for quality, efficiency, and performance.
• Complete medium to extensive features (each with many tasks) independently with minimum guidance.
