Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Middle/Senior RoR Developer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. Our client is a workplace food program that provides an affordable everyday lunch option. Employers are happy because people are more productive when they don’t have to leave the office to eat. The client shares a lot of information (e.g. scheduling, event details, sales, and payments data). They are building a self-service, mobile responsive web app that provides easy access for restaurants to view their information on any device. The client operates in seven major US cities and plans to continue its expansion across the United States and internationally.
2+ years of experience in MVC framework in a language — Ruby on Rails;
2+ years of experience in the backend development of real-world heavy applications;
Experience in designing database relational tables and migrations;
Experience in event-driven architectures / pub-sub messaging systems.
Knowledge of GraphQL and REST;
Knowledge of Datadog and Sumo Logic;
Experience with AWS and Kubernetes.
Architect and build product features end to end in Ruby on Rails;
Support the mobile and front-end developers with APIs written in GraphQL and REST (legacy);
Launch new features, big and small, analyzing system and business metrics post-release;
Monitor the apps on Datadog and Sumo Logic, serving customer service escalations and deployment the monolith rails app on AWS-hosted Kubernetes cluster;
Improve the performance and health of the codebase;
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and business teams to identify and execute the best solutions, focusing on business impact, product polish, and code quality;
Participate in sprint planning, standups, and retrospective meetings.
